System requirements
This plugin allows you to customize a message template about a new order and status change, and send them to a chat, forum topic or Telegram channel. All new completed orders will be processed by the informer in accordance with the set parameters.
Two modes are available to change the status:
- Adding information to the parent post. Available within 48 hours (Telegram restrictions). Then option 2 will be used.
- In a separate linking message.
The message is configured directly in the plugin. In addition to the required fields for working with Telegram, additional fields are provided: delivery without active notifications, protection from forwarding and copying, and sending a pdf order invoice. One of the main ones is the text field of the main template, the product in it and the status. There are a number of variables and MarkdownV2 and emoji tags available for visualization that you can use as you wish. All variables are listed on the Telegram informer editing page for JoomShopping.
Creating a bot and connecting it to a chat/channel
- Create a bot in @BotFather and copy the resulting token into the corresponding plugin settings field. Or we take the token of an already created bot.
- Create a chat or channel in Telegram, or go to an existing one.
- Open the link https://api.telegram.org/bot[token]/getUpdates in the browser, where [token] is the bot token from step 1. Leave the tab open.
- Add a bot to this chat/channel with administrator rights.
- We refresh the tab from step 3 in the browser and see a new line (or several) that begins like this: "my_chat_member":{"chat":{"id":-XXXXXXXXXXXX,"title"…</ em>, where -XXXXXXXXXX is the value we need. Copy it (with a minus sign) and place it in the corresponding plugin configuration field.
- Get the ID of the forum topic (if necessary). Go to the forum topic (topic) and publish a test message if it is empty. Right-click (or tap with your finger) on it and select “Copy link to message” from the pop-up menu. It will look like: https://t.me/c/XXXXXXXXXXX/YYY/ZZZ, where YYY is the topic ID. Copy the value and add it to the corresponding plugin settings field (as is).
- Save the plugin. We check the work by first creating a template and setting other parameters.
If after setting up messages about new orders you do not receive, check the following:
- The correctness of the token and ID.
- What rights does a bot have in a chat/channel? Must be an administrator.
- Is the message template configured?
Installation
Installation is done through the Joomla admin panel in the “Extensions ->Manage -> Install". After installation, you must enter the key “Extensions -> Update sites -> Informer in Telegram for JoomShopping", which will be provided to you after purchase.
